(Based on the Philippine Beyblade Battle League Rulebook)


Welcome to VBXA

The VBXA team is thrilled to have you on board for the 1st 5v5 Team Battle of the Visayas Beyblade X Association.

To ensure a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for everyone involved, please read and acknowledge the terms below to participate. This also serves as your official rulebook and league guidelines throughout the season.


Code of Conduct

No Trash Talk or Taunting

All players are expected to maintain respect for opponents, officials, and spectators.

Trash talking, taunting, or any form of verbal abuse is strictly prohibited—even if you are friends with your opponents.

Promoting Sportsmanship

VBXA is committed to upholding sportsmanship and respect.

All participants are expected to demonstrate these qualities both on and off the play area.

Handshake between teams is encouraged.

Zero Tolerance for Commotion

Any incident that disrupts the game, including verbal or physical altercations, will result in immediate action from tournament officials.

Consequences

If a commotion or conflict arises, both parties involved will be disqualified, regardless of circumstances.

Further disciplinary action may be taken if deemed necessary by tournament organizers, including disqualification of the entire team from the league.

Definition of Terms

Battle

The smallest unit in which the outcome is determined by winning or losing in Beyblade.

Example:

  • First Bey Battle
  • Second Bey Battle
  • Third Bey Battle

Match

The process of conducting multiple battles until a winner is determined.

Example:

  • Player 1 of Team A vs Player 1 of Team B = Match #1
  • Player 2 of Team A vs Player 2 of Team B = Match #2

Game

A series of matches between two teams.

Set

A series of matches between two teams in a Best-of-3 format.

Round

A series of games/sets or pairings across all teams.

Bracket

A group of teams facing each other.


Rules and Regulations

VBXA follows the 12th Edition Takara-Tomy Beyblade X Regulations.

Rules are subject to change if Takara-Tomy issues updates or if organizers deem immediate changes necessary for tournament improvement.


3G Deck Case Requirements

  • 3G Deck Case is mandatory
  • Official, makeshift, and 3D-printed versions are allowed
  • Must be:
    • Horizontal
    • Labeled 1-2-3


 Teams are required to bring their own box/plastic box every game for their deck cases and label it accordingly with their team name and bracket.


Duration of the League

The League will run for 4 days, beginning July 25, 2026

Single Round Robin will be held on July 25 & August 1 on SM Seaside Cebu.

Teams have guaranteed Single Round Robin per Bracket.

Play-offs, and Finals will be held on August 9 & 16, 2026 at SM Seaside Cebu

Game Format

Elimination Rounds

Format Elimination Format: Single Round Robin

Number of Teams: 30

Bracket: 2

Number of Teams per Bracket: 15

Description:

In the Single Round Robin format for the Visayas Beyblade X Association, each team will compete with every other team in their bracket ONCE.

All tournament standings and scores will be input through Challonge.



Eliminations Single Round Robin Flow:

  • Teams have a guaranteed Single Round Robin.
  • 5 vs 5 Team Battle format using standard 3G Beyblade X format. Meaning all players must have a 3G deck to play.
  • All 5 individual matches will be played in each game. Race to 4 points per match.
  • The first team to win 3 matches out of 5 wins the game.
  • All 5 matches must be played even if a team has already won 3 matches.
  • First to 4 pts for each individual grants 1 win in the set games.

Tiebreakers

 In case of Tiebreakers, Team Standing will be determined based on the following Challonge setting:

Play-Off Rounds

 Play-off Format: Single Elimination (Best of 3)

Top Cut (per bracket): 8 Teams. A total of 16 teams will proceed.

LOCKED DECK FROM ROUND 1 OF PLAY-OFFS ONWARDS.



Play-off Single Elimination Flow (Best of 3)

  • Brackets will be combined in the play-offs strategically through Challonge.
  • The 1st seed from each bracket receives a twice-to-beat advantage in the first playoff round only.
  • The remaining teams from each bracket will compete in a single-elimination format during the first round. These teams have only one life; a single loss will result in elimination from the tournament.
  • All playoff matches are Best of 3 until the Finals.

Twice-to-Beat Example:

• Team A (1st Seed) vs Team B (Challenger)

• If Team A wins the first Best-of-3 match, Team A advances to the next round.

• If Team B wins the first Best-of-3 match, Team A has a second chance to play and a second Best-of-3 match is played.

• The winner of the second Best-of-3 match advances to the next round.

• if Team A wins the second match, Team A advances.

• If Team B wins the second match, Team B advances.

Twice-to-Beat Example:

In short: Team A must lose two Best-of-3 matches to be eliminated, while Team B only needs to lose one.

Scenario 1:

• Team A wins Set 1 (3-1), Team A advances to the next round and Team B is eliminated.

Scenario 2:

• Team B wins Set 1 (3-2), proceed to the 2nd set of BO3 match.

• Team B wins Set 2 (3-0), Team B advances to the next round and Team A is eliminated.

• Any remaining sets or games are not played.


Play Area, Venue Etiquette & Match Timings

 Regarding Play Area Etiquette:

  • Players are the only ones allowed in the Play Area aside from committee members, judges, and media personnel.
  • Strictly no other recording devices other than the Judge’s camera inside the Play Area.
  • Judges have the right to hand over the Beyblades according to the player’s deck placement.

Regarding Venue Etiquette:

  • Teams will be assigned areas with their designated seats. Arrangement is final and cannot be changed without the permission of the Committee.
  • Players are required to remain in their seats and should not stand near the barricades.
  • Please practice CLAYGO (Clean as You Go). There will be trash bins available around the venue.
  • Strictly NO SMOKING AND VAPING inside venue premises. Violators caught will automatically be disqualified.

Regarding Match Timings:

  • Before a player enters the Play Area, the team captain may coach the player for a maximum of 30 seconds.
  • Players only have 5 seconds to perform “Check ratchet/bits”, unless performing a change mode or orientation.
    • It is recommended to perform “Check ratchet/bits” after the judge announces Show Bey.
  • Players only have 10 seconds to perform “Shuffle Beys” after all 3 Beyblades have been used in a match.

Please be advised that penalties may be imposed for players and their respective teams if these etiquettes are violated.

Regarding Bey Checking:

  • The Team Captain will be responsible for bringing their team’s decks for Bey Check.
  • Teams are required to bring their own box/plastic box every game for their deck cases.
  • All teams must complete the Bey Check before 2:00PM. Failure to complete Bey Check by the deadline will result in an automatic Round 1 loss in the Single Round Robin Stage.

Venue Etiquette

  • Teams will have assigned seating
  • Seating arrangements cannot be changed without committee approval
  • Players must remain seated
  • Do not stand near barricades
  • Practice CLAYGO (Clean As You Go)
  • Trash bins will be available
  • No smoking or vaping
  • Violators are automatically disqualified

Match Timings

Before entering the play area:

  • Team captain may coach player for 30 seconds max

During match:

  • 5 seconds for checking ratchets/bits
  • Exception: mode or orientation changes

Recommendation:

  • Perform checks after judge announces Show Bey

After all 3 Beyblades are used:

  • 10 seconds to shuffle Beys

Penalties may apply for violations.


Contest Procedure

 Players are allowed to contest a judge’s decision only ONCE during their match. The judge will then ask another judge and the head judge available and will decide through voting.

There is no “3 seconds after launch” contest. For any contest regarding launches, please immediately call out the judge’s attention.

Any dispute regarding the judge’s decision regarding the battle winner and match validity will automatically count as a contest.

Under no circumstances should an outside participant or audience member contest on behalf of the active player.

The final judgment shall rest with the appointed judge and committee. Their decision, made after a fair review of the circumstances, is final and binding to ensure integrity and consistency in gameplay.

  • Any attempts to further contest the judgment and decision of the committee, whether it is regarding deck checks, match results, and the likes will be subject to Level 3 Disqualification.

Grounds for Disqualification


 We have compiled all disqualification clauses and assigned them according to the following levels:

Level 1: Player Disqualification

  • Usage of worn-out/suspicious Beyblade X parts and launchers despite being flagged during checking.
  • Usage of parts and launchers that are not allowed according to the Eligibility of Beys and specifically allowed by the Committee
    • Such usage may immediately jump to Level 3 or 4 DQ according to the Committee discussion.
  • Unsportsmanlike Conduct
  • Taunting and indecent/unprofessional actions towards opponents

Level 2: Team Match DQ

  • Improper team etiquette
  • Illegal coaching including but not limited to: outsider hand signals that refer to player’s course of action in-game
  • Repeated violations of Level 1 clauses

Level 3: Whole Day Team DQ

  • Repeated violations of Level 1 and 2 clauses

The team will be disqualified for the day and will return next week

Level 4: League Participation DQ

  • Proven tampering, Bey parts or Launcher (proof justified and identified by committee)
  • Match selling
  • Taunting and indecent/unprofessional actions towards opponents
  • Repeated violations even after being disqualified under Level 3

Teams will be disqualified for the whole duration of the league and no refunds will be provided.


Default Rule

 All teams have a maximum of 10 playing players. Please ensure that at least 5 playing players are present during the day.

If a team only has four or fewer players present, it will automatically count as a game loss.

  • All Hasbro Beyblades
  • Hasbro collaboration Beys unless re-released by Takara-Tomy
  • Hasbro colored ratchets and bits unless re-released by Takara-Tomy
  • Metal Needle bit
  • 3D-printed ratchets and bits
  • Customized blades
    • custom paint
    • modifications
    • polishing

Removing Hasbro QR codes is prohibited.


Launchers & Accessories

  • Regarding the Beyblades to be used:
  • ALLOWED
  • Bankee released Takara-Tomy Beyblade products.
  • Non-Bankee released Beyblade products from December 2025 to June 2026.
  • All Rare Bey Get Battle prizes.
  • All B4 Exclusive releases, with or without Bankee release.
  • All Coro-coro Exclusive releases, with or without Bankee release.
  • All Hasbro collaboration Beyblades that are officially released by Takara-Tomy.
  • Any recolors are allowed, given that they are officially released by Takara-Tomy even after July 2025.
  • NOT ALLOWED/RESTRICTED LIST
  • All Hasbro Beyblades, regardless of their Takara-Tomy counterparts and remolds. 

Note: REMOVAL OF HASBRO QR CODES UNDERNEATH THE BLADE IS NOT ALLOWED.

  • All Hasbro collaboration Beyblades, unless re-released by Takara-Tomy.
  • All Hasbro colored ratchets and bits, unless re-released by Takara-Tomy.
  • Metal Needle bit.
  • 3D-printed ratchets and bits.
  • Customized blades (custom-painted, modified features, applied polishing, and the like).
  • Regarding Launchers and Accessories to be used:

  • Takara-Tomy BX-09 Bey Battle Pass
  • Both Regular and Exclusive colors of the following Takara-Tomy products:
    • Winder Launchers and Ripcords
  • Entry Launcher
    • Entry Ripcord (Less than 81 teeth, with small T-shape grip)

    • Standard Ripcord (81 teeth, with round grip)

Hold Launcher from UX-09 Samurai Saber starter and BX-00 Xeno Xcalibur starter.

Winders are allowed to be used in different Launcher bodies.

Official, customized, and make-shift horizontal 3G Deck Boxes with 123 numbering.

Official gear chip stickers released by Takara-Tomy can be attached to Beyblades to be used, provided that they follow the Takara-Tomy Regulations:

  • Only one sticker for the Basic Line (BX) can be attached to the central clear cover. Depending on the shape of the launcher hook, the sticker may interfere with the launcher hook. Stickers that are interfering with each other cannot be used in tournaments or events.
  • Only one sticker for the Unique Line (UX) can be placed on top of the original sticker on the central gear tip. Since the Unique Line (UX) gear tip stickers are shaped specifically for each blade, stickers placed on a blade other than the one specified cannot be used in tournaments or events.
  • Only one sticker for Custom Line (CX) lock chips can be placed on top of the original sticker on the lock chip. A lock chip with a sticker attached will be treated as a lock chip with the emblem of the sticker attached.
    • If a lock chip sticker is attached to a lock chip with a different shape than a regular lock chip, such as the metal-equipped lock chip “Valkyrie,” the sticker will interfere with the parts, so it cannot be used.
  • Stickers included with the X-Over Project Beyblades can only be affixed to parts of the same shape. Parts with the stickers affixed to them cannot be used in tournaments or events.
  • NOT ALLOWED/RESTRICTED LIST
  • Modified launchers.
  • 3D-printed launcher accessories. This includes, but is not limited to: launcher supports, customized/modified grips, and extended winders.
  • Painted launchers and accessories.
  • Unofficial/custom-made gear chip stickers, launcher and battlepass decals.
    • Stickers that bear the name of the owner are allowed to prevent missing personal equipment.
  • Customized and make-shift 3G Deck Boxes that do not have 123 numbering and are vertical in shape.
